Recently GMS Europe B.V. has been appointed to Flashlube International Distributor of the year 2007 by the Flashlube headquarters in Melbourne, Australia. Managing director of GMS Gilbert Groot has received the award belonging to this title during Automechanika 2008.

Flashlube is an Australian manufacturer of high-quality and innovative fuel additives. GMS is the exclusive distributor for Europe and delivers Flashlube to more than 25 countries from Alkmaar and its German branch. In Europe, Flashlube is the undisputed market leader on preventing vehicles from excessive recession when driving on autogas and natural gas.

Besides GMS, approximately 20 other international Flashlube distributors from all over the world competed for the title of International Distributor 2007. After consideration of the headquarters GMS ended up at the first place when it comes to sales figures. Also the marketing played an important role in the consideration. For instance the website, advertisements and participation at exhibitions. 

In September 2008 the trade fair Automechanika took place in Frankfurt, where Flashlube director Frank Hutchinson was present as well. Therefore the award could be handed out to Mr. Groot personally. 

GMS is pleased with the title and hopes that this firstly obtained title will be the basis for a tendency which is to be continued in the coming years.
